This is a program offered by the Province that runs until March 31, 2013 with incentives of over $7000 in rebates.

Tens of thousands of British Columbians are saving energy and money because of their participation in the LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program.

August 1st UPDATE: LiveSmart BC Rebate payments

LiveSmart BC has completed processing a significant portion of the 2011 incentive payments and expects to have mailed all outstanding payments to customers with post-retrofit assessments up to April 30, 2012 this month.

Step 1

Check out the Eligible Improvements for the LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program. For more details see our Terms and Conditions.

Step 3

Before you start any renovations, contact a Certified Energy Advisor who will perform an energy assessment of your home.

 

Step 4

Your Certified Energy Advisor will provide you with a report showing the best ways to reduce your energy use. Your advisor will also give your home an EnerGuide for Houses rating. You can use this info to help you decide which upgrades make the most sense for your home and your budget.  For tips on choosing a contractor visit www.hiringacontractor.com

Step 5

Make energy efficiency improvements to your home and complete a second assessment within 18 months of your first assessment or by March 31, 2013, whichever comes first.

Step 6

The energy advisor will submit your application giving you access to applicable LiveSmart BC incentives. Your home will also receive an upgraded EnerGuide for Houses rating.

 

Please note:

There are specific requirements that must be met in order to be eligible for incentives. Please read about the eligible improvements carefully. If you are unclear on requirements, consult your Certified Energy Advisor before purchasing or installing any equipment.

These incentives are subject to revision, and will be paid in accordance with the Terms and Conditions in place at the time of the homeowner’s second energy assessment.

Payment of LiveSmart BC incentives is subject to the availability of funds.

The Province of B.C. does not endorse the services of any contractor nor any specific products and accepts no liability in the selection of materials, products, and contractors or performance or workmanship.
